UNREAD_POSTS Health Services in the Creston Valley

A public meeting was held November 10, 2010 at the Creston District Community Complex. The intent was to discuss public concerns regarding the upcoming crisis with regards to severe doctor shortages within Creston and Areas A, B & C. A number of other issues were raised during the ensuing discussions. Solutions and answers to identified problems and issues, unfortunately, were not as forthcoming.

The Erickson room was completely filled. Numerous people overflowed into the adjoining hall all seeking answers to their questions and concerns. The passion of those attending evidently clear, in sharp contrast to....the underlying anxiety and fear.

We must demand accountability. We must make our voices heard. This forum is intended to provide an opportunity to seek and share concerns, ideas and answers. Our health, even our lives, depend upon what is accomplished here and in our community.

UNREAD_POSTS Creston Valley Issues

During the November 2008 municipal election campaign two themes were repeatedly and consistently brought forward;

1 - A perception of lack of open government by elected government representatives and staff.
2 - A perceived inability of local residents to have their opinions on issues heard and acted upon by local elected government representatives.

This discussion forum is intended to allow everybody to participate promoting communication between residents, businesses and elected leaders.
